My Favourite Personality
Every nation has great personalities who change the course of history through their courage, wisdom, determination, and leadership. Pakistan is fortunate to have many remarkable personalities, but my favourite personality is Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. He was a great leader, a brilliant lawyer, a sincere Muslim, and a man of strong character. His life is a source of inspiration for every Pakistani. As he beautifully said, “Unity, Faith, Discipline.” These three words summarize the qualities that he wanted to see in the nation.
Early Life
Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born on 25 December 1876 in Karachi. His father, Jinnahbhai Poonja, was a successful businessman. Jinnah received his early education in Karachi and later went to England to study law. He became one of the youngest Indians to be called to the Bar in England.
After returning to India, he started his legal career in Bombay. Through his intelligence, hard work, honesty, and determination, he soon became a successful lawyer. His success reflected his strong belief in hard work and self-confidence.
A Great Leader
Quaid-e-Azam was a man of extraordinary qualities. He was honest, courageous, disciplined, determined, and hardworking. He never gave up his principles for personal gain. His strong character made him a respected leader among the Muslims of the subcontinent.
He believed that Muslims were a separate nation with their own religion, culture, traditions, and way of life. He worked tirelessly to protect their political and social rights. His determination can be understood from his memorable words, “Failure is a word unknown to me.” He faced many difficulties but never allowed failure to destroy his courage.
Struggle for Pakistan
The Muslims of the subcontinent faced many political difficulties. Quaid-e-Azam realized that they needed a separate homeland where they could live according to their values and beliefs.
He reorganized the All-India Muslim League and united Muslims under one political platform. Under his leadership, the Pakistan Resolution was passed at Lahore in 1940. He continued his struggle with determination, patience, and political wisdom.
Quaid-e-Azam always believed that important decisions should be taken carefully and then followed with determination. He advised, “Think a hundred times before you take a decision, but once that decision is taken, stand by it as one man.” This principle was clearly reflected in his own political struggle.
Achievement of Pakistan
Quaid-e-Azam faced many difficulties during his struggle. He had to deal with political opposition, negotiations, and countless challenges. However, he remained firm and never lost hope.
Finally, his long struggle bore fruit, and Pakistan came into existence on 14 August 1947. It was a historic achievement and fulfilled the dream of millions of Muslims of the subcontinent.
Quaid-e-Azam became the first Governor-General of Pakistan. Despite his declining health, he worked day and night to establish the foundations of the new country. His life proved that determination and devotion can make even difficult dreams possible.
His Character
Quaid-e-Azam's character was perhaps his greatest quality. He was a man of his word. He believed in honesty, justice, equality, and discipline. He lived a simple and dignified life.
He did not seek personal wealth or luxury. His greatest ambition was to serve the people and protect the interests of the new nation. His famous words, “Expect the best, prepare for the worst,” teach us to remain hopeful while also being ready to face difficulties.
His Message to the Nation
Quaid-e-Azam repeatedly emphasized hard work, unity, and discipline. He wanted the people of Pakistan to become responsible citizens and work together for the progress of the country.
He once said, “With faith, discipline and selfless devotion to duty, there is nothing worthwhile that you cannot achieve.” This message is especially important for students because success requires faith, discipline, dedication, and continuous effort.
Why I Like Him
I like Quaid-e-Azam because he was a man of principles. He faced enormous difficulties but remained steadfast. He did not allow fear or disappointment to stop him from achieving his goal.
His life teaches me to be honest, hardworking, disciplined, patient, and determined. Whenever I read about his struggle, I feel proud to be a Pakistani. His character inspires me to work hard and remain committed to my goals.
His Death
Quaid-e-Azam's health became weak after the creation of Pakistan. He passed away on 11 September 1948 in Karachi. His death was a great loss for the people of Pakistan.
Although he left this world, his services and teachings can never be forgotten. His mausoleum in Karachi reminds us of his great contribution to Pakistan.
Conclusion
Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was not only the founder of Pakistan but also a symbol of courage, determination, honesty, and leadership. He devoted his life to the cause of the Muslims of the subcontinent and succeeded in creating a separate homeland.
His life is a shining example for the young generation. We should follow his principles of Unity, Faith, and Discipline and work honestly for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan. As Quaid-e-Azam said, “With faith, discipline and selfless devotion to duty, there is nothing worthwhile that you cannot achieve.” His words will continue to inspire generations of Pakistanis.

ہر قوم میں ایسی عظیم شخصیات پیدا ہوتی ہیں جو اپنی بہادری، دانائی، عزم اور قیادت کے ذریعے تاریخ کا رخ بدل دیتی ہیں۔ پاکستان بھی بہت سی قابلِ ذکر شخصیات کی سرزمین ہے، لیکن میری پسندیدہ شخصیت قائداعظم محمد علی جناح ہیں، جو پاکستان کے بانی ہیں۔ وہ ایک عظیم رہنما، ماہر قانون دان، مخلص مسلمان اور مضبوط کردار کے مالک تھے۔ ان کی زندگی ہر پاکستانی کے لیے مشعلِ راہ ہے۔ جیسا کہ انہوں نے خوبصورت الفاظ میں فرمایا: “اتحاد، ایمان، نظم و ضبط۔” یہ تین الفاظ ان خوبیوں کا خلاصہ ہیں جو وہ قوم میں دیکھنا چاہتے تھے۔
ابتدائی زندگی
قائداعظم محمد علی جناح 25 دسمبر 1876ء کو کراچی میں پیدا ہوئے۔ ان کے والد جناح بھائی پونجا ایک کامیاب کاروباری شخصیت تھے۔ قائداعظم نے ابتدائی تعلیم کراچی میں حاصل کی اور بعد میں قانون کی تعلیم حاصل کرنے کے لیے انگلستان گئے۔ وہ انگلستان میں بیرسٹر بننے والے کم عمر ترین ہندوستانیوں میں شامل تھے۔
ہندوستان واپس آنے کے بعد انہوں نے بمبئی میں وکالت شروع کی۔ اپنی ذہانت، محنت، ایمانداری اور عزم کے ذریعے وہ جلد ہی ایک کامیاب وکیل بن گئے۔ ان کی کامیابی محنت اور خود اعتمادی پر ان کے مضبوط یقین کی عکاسی کرتی تھی۔
ایک عظیم رہنما
قائداعظم غیر معمولی خوبیوں کے مالک تھے۔ وہ ایماندار، بہادر، نظم و ضبط کے پابند، پُرعزم اور محنتی تھے۔ انہوں نے کبھی ذاتی فائدے کے لیے اپنے اصولوں پر سمجھوتہ نہیں کیا۔ ان کا مضبوط کردار انہیں برصغیر کے مسلمانوں کا ایک قابلِ احترام رہنما بناتا تھا۔
وہ سمجھتے تھے کہ مسلمان اپنے مذہب، ثقافت، روایات اور طرزِ زندگی کے اعتبار سے ایک الگ قوم ہیں۔ انہوں نے مسلمانوں کے سیاسی اور سماجی حقوق کے تحفظ کے لیے انتھک محنت کی۔ ان کے عزم کا اندازہ ان کے اس یادگار قول سے لگایا جا سکتا ہے: “ناکامی میرے لیے ایک نامعلوم لفظ ہے۔” انہوں نے بہت سی مشکلات کا سامنا کیا لیکن کبھی ناکامی کو اپنے حوصلے پر غالب نہیں آنے دیا۔
پاکستان کے لیے جدوجہد
برصغیر کے مسلمان بہت سی سیاسی مشکلات کا سامنا کر رہے تھے۔ قائداعظم نے محسوس کیا کہ مسلمانوں کو ایک الگ وطن کی ضرورت ہے جہاں وہ اپنی اقدار اور عقائد کے مطابق زندگی گزار سکیں۔
انہوں نے آل انڈیا مسلم لیگ کو منظم کیا اور مسلمانوں کو ایک سیاسی پلیٹ فارم پر متحد کیا۔ ان کی قیادت میں 1940ء میں لاہور میں قراردادِ پاکستان منظور ہوئی۔ انہوں نے عزم، صبر اور سیاسی بصیرت کے ساتھ اپنی جدوجہد جاری رکھی۔
قائداعظم ہمیشہ اس بات پر یقین رکھتے تھے کہ اہم فیصلے سوچ سمجھ کر کرنے چاہئیں اور پھر ان پر ثابت قدمی سے قائم رہنا چاہیے۔ انہوں نے فرمایا: “فیصلہ کرنے سے پہلے سو بار سوچو، لیکن جب فیصلہ کر لو تو پھر ایک شخص کی طرح اس پر ڈٹ جاؤ۔” یہ اصول ان کی اپنی سیاسی جدوجہد میں بھی واضح طور پر نظر آتا ہے۔
پاکستان کا قیام
قائداعظم نے اپنی جدوجہد کے دوران بہت سی مشکلات کا سامنا کیا۔ انہیں سیاسی مخالفت، مذاکرات اور بے شمار چیلنجز کا سامنا کرنا پڑا۔ تاہم وہ ثابت قدم رہے اور کبھی امید نہیں چھوڑی۔
آخرکار ان کی طویل جدوجہد کامیاب ہوئی اور 14 اگست 1947ء کو پاکستان وجود میں آیا۔ یہ ایک تاریخی کامیابی تھی اور برصغیر کے لاکھوں مسلمانوں کے خواب کو حقیقت میں بدلنے کا سبب بنی۔
قائداعظم پاکستان کے پہلے گورنر جنرل بنے۔ اپنی کمزور صحت کے باوجود انہوں نے نئے ملک کی بنیادوں کو مضبوط بنانے کے لیے دن رات کام کیا۔ ان کی زندگی نے ثابت کیا کہ عزم اور لگن مشکل سے مشکل خواب کو بھی حقیقت میں بدل سکتے ہیں۔
ان کا کردار
قائداعظم کا کردار شاید ان کی سب سے بڑی خوبی تھا۔ وہ اپنے قول کے پکے تھے۔ وہ ایمانداری، انصاف، مساوات اور نظم و ضبط پر یقین رکھتے تھے۔ وہ سادہ اور باوقار زندگی گزارتے تھے۔
انہوں نے ذاتی دولت یا آسائشوں کی خواہش نہیں کی۔ ان کا سب سے بڑا مقصد قوم کی خدمت کرنا اور نئے ملک کے مفادات کا تحفظ کرنا تھا۔ ان کے مشہور الفاظ “بہترین کی امید رکھو، بدترین کے لیے تیار رہو” ہمیں امید برقرار رکھنے کے ساتھ ساتھ مشکلات کا سامنا کرنے کے لیے تیار رہنے کا درس دیتے ہیں۔
قوم کے لیے ان کا پیغام
قائداعظم نے ہمیشہ محنت، اتحاد اور نظم و ضبط پر زور دیا۔ وہ چاہتے تھے کہ پاکستان کے لوگ ذمہ دار شہری بنیں اور ملک کی ترقی کے لیے مل کر کام کریں۔
انہوں نے فرمایا: “ایمان، نظم و ضبط اور فرض سے بے لوث وابستگی کے ساتھ ایسی کوئی قابلِ قدر چیز نہیں جسے تم حاصل نہ کر سکو۔” یہ پیغام خاص طور پر طلبہ کے لیے بہت اہم ہے، کیونکہ کامیابی کے لیے ایمان، نظم و ضبط، لگن اور مسلسل محنت ضروری ہے۔
میں انہیں کیوں پسند کرتا ہوں؟
میں قائداعظم کو اس لیے پسند کرتا ہوں کیونکہ وہ اصول پسند انسان تھے۔ انہوں نے بے شمار مشکلات کا سامنا کیا لیکن ثابت قدم رہے۔ انہوں نے خوف یا مایوسی کو اپنے مقصد کے حصول میں رکاوٹ نہیں بننے دیا۔
ان کی زندگی مجھے ایماندار، محنتی، بااصول، صابر اور پُرعزم بننے کا درس دیتی ہے۔ جب بھی میں ان کی جدوجہد کے بارے میں پڑھتا ہوں تو مجھے پاکستانی ہونے پر فخر محسوس ہوتا ہے۔ ان کا کردار مجھے محنت کرنے اور اپنے مقاصد کے لیے ثابت قدم رہنے کی ترغیب دیتا ہے۔
ان کی وفات
پاکستان کے قیام کے بعد قائداعظم کی صحت کمزور ہوتی گئی۔ وہ 11 ستمبر 1948ء کو کراچی میں وفات پا گئے۔ ان کی وفات پاکستانی قوم کے لیے ایک بہت بڑا نقصان تھی۔
اگرچہ وہ اس دنیا سے رخصت ہو گئے، لیکن ان کی خدمات اور تعلیمات کو کبھی فراموش نہیں کیا جا سکتا۔ کراچی میں ان کا مزار پاکستان کے لیے ان کی عظیم خدمات کی یاد دلاتا ہے۔
نتیجہ
قائداعظم محمد علی جناح نہ صرف پاکستان کے بانی تھے بلکہ وہ بہادری، عزم، ایمانداری اور قیادت کی علامت بھی تھے۔ انہوں نے اپنی زندگی برصغیر کے مسلمانوں کے مقصد کے لیے وقف کر دی اور ایک الگ وطن کے قیام میں کامیاب ہوئے۔
ان کی زندگی نوجوان نسل کے لیے ایک روشن مثال ہے۔ ہمیں ان کے اصولوں “اتحاد، ایمان اور نظم و ضبط” پر عمل کرنا چاہیے اور پاکستان کی ترقی اور خوشحالی کے لیے ایمانداری سے کام کرنا چاہیے۔ جیسا کہ قائداعظم نے فرمایا: “ایمان، نظم و ضبط اور فرض سے بے لوث وابستگی کے ساتھ ایسی کوئی قابلِ قدر چیز نہیں جسے تم حاصل نہ کر سکو۔” ان کے الفاظ آنے والی نسلوں کے پاکستانیوں کو ہمیشہ متاثر کرتے رہیں گے۔
