Artificial Intelligence and Our Future for 12th Class with Quotations | 12th class essay

Artificial Intelligence and Our Future

Artificial Intelligence and Our Future

“We can only see a short distance ahead, but we can see plenty there that needs to be done.”
— Alan Turing

Artificial intelligence is one of the most remarkable achievements of modern science. It is transforming how people study, work, communicate, travel and solve problems. AI is no longer an idea found only in science-fiction stories. It has become part of everyday life through smartphones, search engines, digital assistants, navigation systems and online learning platforms. Its influence will become even greater in the future. However, whether this influence proves beneficial or harmful will depend upon how wisely humanity develops and uses this powerful technology.

Artificial intelligence refers to computer systems designed to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence. These tasks include learning from information, understanding language, recognizing images, solving problems and making predictions. Unlike traditional computer programs that follow only fixed instructions, many AI systems can identify patterns in large amounts of data and improve their results through training.

The foundations of modern artificial intelligence were laid by mathematicians and computer scientists during the twentieth century. One of its pioneers, Alan Turing, raised the famous question:

“Can machines think?”
— Alan Turing

Since then, computer technology has advanced beyond what earlier generations could have imagined. Machines can now translate languages, recognize human speech, create images, assist doctors and perform complicated calculations within seconds. Nevertheless, AI does not possess human wisdom, moral responsibility or emotions merely because it can produce intelligent-looking answers.

Artificial Intelligence in Education

Education is one of the fields in which AI can bring great improvement. AI-powered learning systems can explain difficult concepts, generate practice questions and provide immediate feedback. A student who has difficulty understanding a mathematics problem can receive a step-by-step explanation suited to their learning level. Similarly, language learners can practise pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary through intelligent applications.

Teachers can also use AI to prepare lesson plans, check routine assignments and identify subjects in which students need extra support. This can save time and allow teachers to focus more closely on guiding and encouraging their students.

However, students must not allow AI to replace their own thinking. Copying an AI-generated answer without understanding it damages learning and encourages academic dishonesty. AI can also make mistakes or invent information. Therefore, students should use it as an assistant, verify important facts and complete their work honestly.

“Technology is a useful servant but a dangerous master.”
— Christian Lous Lange

Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare

AI may greatly improve the future of healthcare. Intelligent systems can examine medical scans, detect patterns in patient records and help doctors recognize certain diseases at an early stage. They may also support researchers in studying medicines and finding possible treatments more efficiently.

In remote areas where specialist doctors are not easily available, AI-assisted medical services may help patients receive preliminary guidance. Wearable devices can monitor heart rate, sleep patterns and other health indicators. Such technology may warn people of possible problems before their condition becomes serious.

Nevertheless, final medical decisions should not be left entirely to machines. A patient is a human being, not merely a collection of data. Doctors possess professional judgement, compassion and an understanding of personal circumstances that an automated system may lack. AI should support medical professionals rather than replace them.

AI in Business and Employment

Businesses are increasingly using AI to analyse market trends, answer customer questions, detect fraud and manage their operations. Factories use intelligent machines to perform repetitive or dangerous tasks. Farmers can use AI to study weather conditions, detect crop diseases and manage water more efficiently.

These developments can increase productivity and reduce human exposure to unsafe work. They can also create new careers in software development, data analysis, cybersecurity, robotics and AI ethics.

At the same time, automation may replace some routine jobs. Workers who perform repetitive tasks may face unemployment if governments and businesses fail to prepare them for technological change. This does not necessarily mean that machines will eliminate all human employment. New technology has historically removed certain occupations while creating others. However, future workers will need to learn new skills throughout their lives.

Schools and universities must therefore teach more than memorization. Students will need critical thinking, creativity, communication, digital literacy and problem-solving abilities. These are qualities that enable people to use technology intelligently instead of being controlled by it.

Transportation and Smart Cities

Self-driving technology may make future transportation safer and more efficient. AI can study traffic patterns, select better routes and reduce unnecessary fuel consumption. Intelligent traffic signals may decrease congestion in crowded cities, while public transport systems can use data to improve schedules.

AI may also help manage electricity, water distribution, waste collection and emergency services. Smart systems can identify areas where resources are being wasted and help authorities respond more quickly to accidents or natural disasters.

However, these systems must be carefully tested. A mistake made by a navigation application may cause inconvenience, but an error made by an autonomous vehicle can cost human lives. Safety must remain more important than speed or profit.

Environmental Protection

Artificial intelligence can assist humanity in dealing with climate change and environmental destruction. It can analyse satellite images, monitor forests, forecast floods and identify changes in weather patterns. Farmers can use intelligent tools to reduce the unnecessary use of water, fertilizers and pesticides.

Energy systems can also use AI to balance supply and demand. This may reduce waste and make renewable energy more reliable. Such applications show that AI can be used not only for commercial success but also for protecting the planet.

Yet AI itself requires large data centres, electricity and physical resources. Therefore, developers must also consider its environmental cost. A technology designed to solve environmental problems should not create new ones through careless use of energy.

The Dangers of Artificial Intelligence

Despite its benefits, AI presents serious risks. One major danger is the spread of false information. AI can produce realistic fake photographs, videos and voices. Such material may be used to damage reputations, deceive voters or create social conflict. People must learn to verify information before accepting or sharing it.

Another concern is privacy. AI systems often depend on enormous amounts of personal data. If this information is collected without proper consent or protection, it can be misused. Governments and companies must establish strict rules regarding how personal data is gathered, stored and shared.

AI systems can also reflect unfair patterns present in their training data. For example, an automated system used for employment, education or banking may treat certain groups unfairly if it has learned from biased information. Human supervision is therefore essential whenever AI affects people’s rights or opportunities.

Cybercriminals can use AI to create sophisticated scams, harmful software and convincing false identities. Similarly, autonomous weapons raise serious moral questions because machines should not be given unchecked power to decide who lives or dies.

Human Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence can process information very quickly, but speed is not the same as wisdom. A machine may identify patterns in millions of documents, yet it does not automatically understand truth, justice, mercy or human dignity.

Human beings possess conscience, moral responsibility, empathy and the ability to understand meaning through lived experience. These qualities must guide the use of intelligent machines. AI should extend human abilities, not reduce human beings to passive users who no longer think, create or make responsible decisions.

Bill Gates described the development of AI as being as fundamental as the creation of the microprocessor, personal computer, Internet and mobile phone. This comparison highlights both its enormous importance and its potential to reshape society. [Bill Gates, “The Age of AI Has Begun”]

The Need for Responsible Use

The future of AI should not be determined only by large technology companies. Governments, teachers, scientists, parents, students and ordinary citizens must all participate in deciding how it should be used.

Strong laws are required to protect privacy, prevent discrimination and hold organizations responsible when their systems cause harm. Important decisions involving healthcare, employment, education, policing and national security should include meaningful human supervision.

Technology companies must test their systems carefully and explain their limitations honestly. Schools should teach students both how to use AI and how to question it. International cooperation will also be necessary because digital technology crosses national borders.

Pakistan and other developing countries must invest in education, research and digital infrastructure. If they remain only consumers of foreign technology, the technological gap between rich and poor nations may increase. Young people should be encouraged to study mathematics, computer science, ethics and creative subjects so that they can contribute to the future instead of merely observing it.

Conclusion

Artificial intelligence is neither a perfect solution nor an unavoidable disaster. It is a powerful tool whose effects depend upon human choices. Used responsibly, it can improve education, assist doctors, protect the environment, increase productivity and solve difficult problems. Used carelessly, it can spread deception, invade privacy, deepen inequality and weaken human independence.

We should neither reject AI out of fear nor accept it without question. We must develop it with wisdom, regulate it with justice and use it for the welfare of humanity. Machines may help shape the future, but human beings must decide what kind of future they want.

“The future of humanity and of our planet lies in our hands.”
— United Nations, 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development

Artificial intelligence will be an important part of tomorrow, but moral intelligence, responsibility and compassion must remain at the heart of human progress.

Uses and Abuses of Mobile Phones

“Science is a good servant but a bad master.”

The mobile phone is one of the most useful inventions of modern science. It has completely changed the way people communicate, study, work and spend their leisure time. A small mobile phone can perform many tasks that once required several different devices. It connects us with the entire world within seconds. However, like every scientific invention, mobile phones have both advantages and disadvantages. Their usefulness depends on how wisely we use them.

The primary purpose of a mobile phone is communication. In the past, people had to wait for days or weeks to receive letters from their relatives. Today, they can instantly call, send messages or have video conversations with people living anywhere in the world. Mobile phones are especially useful during emergencies because they allow people to contact doctors, the police, rescue services and family members without delay.

Mobile phones have also become important educational tools. Students can attend online classes, watch educational lectures, use digital dictionaries and read electronic books. They can search for information, solve difficult questions and communicate with their teachers. Educational applications help students learn languages, mathematics, science and many other subjects.

“Knowledge is power.”

The internet has placed a vast store of knowledge at our fingertips. When used properly, a mobile phone can serve as a portable library and classroom. It allows students to learn beyond the limits of their textbooks. Teachers can send notes, assignments and important announcements to their students, while learners can work together on different projects.

Mobile phones are equally important in professional life. Businesspeople use them to communicate with customers, arrange meetings, send emails and advertise their products. People can perform online banking, pay utility bills, book tickets and order essential items from home. Navigation applications help travellers find their destinations, while news and weather applications keep them informed.

Mobile phones also provide entertainment. People can take photographs, record videos, read books, play games and watch useful programmes. Social media allows users to share their ideas and remain connected with friends and relatives. People living far away from their families can reduce their loneliness through video calls.

Despite these benefits, the unnecessary and excessive use of mobile phones creates several serious problems. Many people become so addicted to their screens that they begin to neglect their education, work, health and relationships. Students may waste hours scrolling through social media, watching unnecessary videos or playing games. Consequently, they lose valuable time and their academic performance suffers.

“Time and tide wait for none.”

Excessive mobile-phone use can also damage physical and mental health. Looking at a screen for long periods may cause eye strain, headaches, poor posture and disturbed sleep. Constant notifications can reduce concentration and increase mental stress. People who compare their lives with the unrealistic images shown on social media may experience dissatisfaction, anxiety and low self-esteem.

Another disadvantage of mobile phones is the weakening of real-life relationships. Sometimes, all the members of a family sit together while remaining absorbed in their phones. Instead of talking to one another, they communicate with distant online contacts. In this way, technology designed to bring people closer may actually create emotional distance between them.

Mobile phones can also be misused for cyberbullying, spreading rumours, cheating in examinations and circulating harmful or false information. Criminals may use fake messages and suspicious links to steal people’s personal information or money. Users who carelessly share their photographs, passwords or locations with others may put themselves at risk. Therefore, everyone should learn the principles of digital safety and responsible online behaviour.

Using a mobile phone while driving is also extremely dangerous. A few moments of distraction can cause a serious accident and endanger many lives. Drivers should neither make calls nor type messages or watch videos while controlling a vehicle. Similarly, mobile phones should not be used in a way that disturbs others in educational institutions, hospitals, places of worship or public gatherings.

Parents and teachers have a responsibility to guide young people properly. Students should use mobile phones mainly for education and necessary communication. They should set daily screen-time limits, stay away from their phones while studying and keep their devices aside before going to sleep. They should verify every piece of information before sharing it and should never give personal details to strangers.

“Excess of everything is bad.”

In conclusion, mobile phones are neither entirely good nor entirely bad. They are powerful tools whose effects depend on how people use them. When used responsibly, they save time, spread knowledge and make life easier. However, their misuse wastes time, damages health and creates social and moral problems. Therefore, we should control our mobile phones instead of allowing them to control us. Wise, limited and purposeful use is the best way to enjoy their benefits while remaining safe from their harmful effects.

Patriotism | 12th class essay

Patriotism

Patriotism

“Breathes there the man, with soul so dead,
Who never to himself hath said,
This is my own, my native land!”

— Sir Walter Scott

Patriotism means sincere love, loyalty and devotion to one’s country. It is a noble feeling that inspires people to work for the progress, honour and protection of their homeland. A patriot loves the land where they were born, respects its laws and institutions, values its culture and places the national interest above personal gain. Patriotism is not merely an emotion expressed through words; it is a sense of responsibility demonstrated through honest actions.

A person naturally develops a deep attachment to their homeland. It is the place where they are born, spend their childhood, receive education and build relationships. Its rivers, mountains, fields, cities, languages and traditions become part of their identity. Even when people live abroad, memories of their native land remain close to their hearts. This natural attachment becomes true patriotism when it encourages them to serve their country and fellow citizens.

A country is not simply a piece of land surrounded by geographical borders. It is a shared home built upon the sacrifices, struggles and hopes of generations. It provides citizens with identity, protection, rights and opportunities. Therefore, citizens also have important duties towards it. They must obey just laws, protect public property, contribute to national development and defend the country when necessary.

“Ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country.”
— John F. Kennedy

This quotation expresses the spirit of patriotism perfectly. Many people demand rights and facilities from their country but ignore their own responsibilities. A true patriot does not merely complain about national problems. He asks how he can help solve them. Every citizen can contribute according to their abilities. A teacher can educate students honestly, a doctor can treat patients with compassion, a farmer can produce food, a scientist can conduct useful research and a student can study sincerely.

Patriotism is closely connected with sacrifice. History remembers those courageous people who gave their time, wealth, comfort and even lives for their nations. Soldiers guard national borders in extreme weather and dangerous conditions. Police officers and rescue workers risk their lives to protect citizens. Doctors serve during epidemics, while ordinary people help one another during floods, earthquakes and other disasters. Their service demonstrates that genuine patriotism requires action.

Pakistan itself was created through a long political and constitutional struggle. The Muslims of the subcontinent made great sacrifices to obtain a separate homeland where they could live according to their religious, cultural and social values. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah provided strong and determined leadership, while countless men and women supported the movement. Many families left their homes and possessions during independence and faced enormous difficulties while migrating to Pakistan.

The sacrifices associated with independence remind us that freedom should never be taken for granted. The younger generation must understand the history of Pakistan and recognise the value of national unity. Remembering the past does not mean living in it; it means learning from it and protecting the freedom achieved through immense struggle.

Quaid-e-Azam emphasised the qualities required for building a successful nation:

“With faith, discipline and selfless devotion to duty, there is nothing worthwhile that you cannot achieve.”

Faith gives people courage and moral direction. Discipline enables them to respect laws and organise their efforts. Selfless devotion to duty encourages them to place the common good above selfish interests. A country whose citizens possess these qualities can overcome even serious difficulties.

True patriotism begins with honesty. Corruption, bribery, tax evasion, cheating and misuse of public resources weaken a nation from within. A person cannot sincerely claim to love the country while damaging its institutions for personal benefit. A shopkeeper who deceives customers, an employee who neglects work, an official who accepts bribes and a student who cheats in an examination all harm their society. Patriotism requires integrity in everyday life.

Students also have an important role in national development. Their primary duty is to acquire knowledge, develop good character and prepare themselves to serve society. They should value time, respect teachers, avoid harmful activities and learn useful skills. Education should not be pursued only to obtain a degree or earn money. It should enable young people to solve problems, improve institutions and contribute positively to the nation.

“The time is always right to do what is right.”
— Martin Luther King Jr.

Patriotism also demands unity. A nation becomes weak when people are divided by ethnicity, language, province, class, political affiliation or religious sect. Diversity should be regarded as a source of cultural richness rather than conflict. Citizens may have different opinions, but they must remember that they share the same homeland and future.

National unity does not mean that everyone must think in exactly the same way. Healthy disagreement and constructive criticism are necessary in a democratic society. A true patriot does not remain silent when something is wrong. However, criticism should be based on truth, evidence and a sincere desire for improvement. Spreading false information, hatred or violence cannot be called patriotism.

There is also an important difference between patriotism and blind nationalism. Patriotism is a healthy love for one’s country, but blind nationalism assumes that one’s country can never be wrong and that other nations are inferior. Such thinking creates pride, hostility and conflict. A true patriot wants the country to act with justice and honour. Loving one’s homeland does not require hatred towards other countries.

Respecting the law is another essential feature of patriotism. Laws maintain peace, protect rights and regulate social life. When citizens break traffic rules, damage public property, occupy public land or avoid paying lawful taxes, they weaken the system from which everyone benefits. Small acts of irresponsibility can collectively produce serious national problems.

Protecting public property is particularly important. Roads, schools, hospitals, parks, buses, railways and government buildings are built with public money. Damaging them during protests or through carelessness is not an attack on an individual government; it is a loss to the entire nation. A patriotic citizen treats public property with the same care as personal property.

Environmental protection is also a form of patriotism. Polluted air, contaminated water, deforestation and unmanaged waste threaten the health and future of the country. Planting trees, conserving water, avoiding littering and keeping neighbourhoods clean are simple but valuable national services. A person who loves their country should also protect its natural beauty and resources.

Economic responsibility is equally necessary. Citizens can strengthen the national economy by working honestly, supporting lawful local businesses, avoiding waste and developing professional skills. Entrepreneurs can create employment, while researchers and innovators can produce solutions to national challenges. Progress does not depend only on the government; it also depends on the initiative and responsibility of ordinary citizens.

In the modern age, patriotism also includes responsible use of social media. False news and edited information can create panic, division and mistrust. A responsible citizen verifies information before sharing it and avoids insulting others. Freedom of expression is valuable, but it should be exercised with honesty and respect. Digital behaviour can either strengthen or damage society.

Patriotism must also include concern for fellow citizens. A country becomes strong when its people care for the poor, elderly, disabled and vulnerable. Helping an injured person, supporting a deserving student, donating during disasters and treating workers fairly are all expressions of national service. The strength of a nation should be judged not only by its buildings or military power but also by the dignity and security enjoyed by its people.

National days and ceremonies can promote unity and remind citizens of their history. Raising the flag, singing the national anthem and remembering national heroes are meaningful activities. However, patriotism should not be limited to celebrations on Independence Day. Flags and slogans have value only when supported by honesty, discipline, hard work and service throughout the year.

Pakistan possesses great natural resources, a young population, cultural diversity and considerable potential. Yet potential alone cannot ensure progress. The nation needs educated, skilled and responsible citizens who reject corruption, respect merit and perform their duties sincerely. If every person improves their own conduct instead of waiting for everyone else to change, society can gradually be transformed.

In conclusion, patriotism is one of the noblest human feelings, but it must be expressed through action. A true patriot serves the country honestly, respects its laws, protects its resources, promotes unity and cares for fellow citizens. Patriotism does not require empty slogans or hatred of other nations. It requires responsible citizenship, moral courage and continuous effort.

Our homeland has given us identity, security and belonging. We must repay this debt by contributing to its peace and progress. If citizens perform their duties with faith, unity and discipline, Pakistan can overcome its challenges and achieve a prosperous future. True patriotism means leaving the country stronger, fairer and better than we found it.

My Favourite Personality for 12th Class with Quotations | 12th class essay

My Favourite Personality | Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah,

My Favourite Personality

Every nation has great personalities who change the course of history through their courage, wisdom, determination, and leadership. Pakistan is fortunate to have many remarkable personalities, but my favourite personality is Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. He was a great leader, a brilliant lawyer, a sincere Muslim, and a man of strong character. His life is a source of inspiration for every Pakistani. As he beautifully said, “Unity, Faith, Discipline.” These three words summarize the qualities that he wanted to see in the nation.

Early Life

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born on 25 December 1876 in Karachi. His father, Jinnahbhai Poonja, was a successful businessman. Jinnah received his early education in Karachi and later went to England to study law. He became one of the youngest Indians to be called to the Bar in England.

After returning to India, he started his legal career in Bombay. Through his intelligence, hard work, honesty, and determination, he soon became a successful lawyer. His success reflected his strong belief in hard work and self-confidence.

A Great Leader

Quaid-e-Azam was a man of extraordinary qualities. He was honest, courageous, disciplined, determined, and hardworking. He never gave up his principles for personal gain. His strong character made him a respected leader among the Muslims of the subcontinent.

He believed that Muslims were a separate nation with their own religion, culture, traditions, and way of life. He worked tirelessly to protect their political and social rights. His determination can be understood from his memorable words, “Failure is a word unknown to me.” He faced many difficulties but never allowed failure to destroy his courage.

Struggle for Pakistan

The Muslims of the subcontinent faced many political difficulties. Quaid-e-Azam realized that they needed a separate homeland where they could live according to their values and beliefs.

He reorganized the All-India Muslim League and united Muslims under one political platform. Under his leadership, the Pakistan Resolution was passed at Lahore in 1940. He continued his struggle with determination, patience, and political wisdom.

Quaid-e-Azam always believed that important decisions should be taken carefully and then followed with determination. He advised, “Think a hundred times before you take a decision, but once that decision is taken, stand by it as one man.” This principle was clearly reflected in his own political struggle.

Achievement of Pakistan

Quaid-e-Azam faced many difficulties during his struggle. He had to deal with political opposition, negotiations, and countless challenges. However, he remained firm and never lost hope.

Finally, his long struggle bore fruit, and Pakistan came into existence on 14 August 1947. It was a historic achievement and fulfilled the dream of millions of Muslims of the subcontinent.

Quaid-e-Azam became the first Governor-General of Pakistan. Despite his declining health, he worked day and night to establish the foundations of the new country. His life proved that determination and devotion can make even difficult dreams possible.

His Character

Quaid-e-Azam's character was perhaps his greatest quality. He was a man of his word. He believed in honesty, justice, equality, and discipline. He lived a simple and dignified life.

He did not seek personal wealth or luxury. His greatest ambition was to serve the people and protect the interests of the new nation. His famous words, “Expect the best, prepare for the worst,” teach us to remain hopeful while also being ready to face difficulties.

His Message to the Nation

Quaid-e-Azam repeatedly emphasized hard work, unity, and discipline. He wanted the people of Pakistan to become responsible citizens and work together for the progress of the country.

He once said, “With faith, discipline and selfless devotion to duty, there is nothing worthwhile that you cannot achieve.” This message is especially important for students because success requires faith, discipline, dedication, and continuous effort.

Why I Like Him

I like Quaid-e-Azam because he was a man of principles. He faced enormous difficulties but remained steadfast. He did not allow fear or disappointment to stop him from achieving his goal.

His life teaches me to be honest, hardworking, disciplined, patient, and determined. Whenever I read about his struggle, I feel proud to be a Pakistani. His character inspires me to work hard and remain committed to my goals.

His Death

Quaid-e-Azam's health became weak after the creation of Pakistan. He passed away on 11 September 1948 in Karachi. His death was a great loss for the people of Pakistan.

Although he left this world, his services and teachings can never be forgotten. His mausoleum in Karachi reminds us of his great contribution to Pakistan.

Conclusion

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was not only the founder of Pakistan but also a symbol of courage, determination, honesty, and leadership. He devoted his life to the cause of the Muslims of the subcontinent and succeeded in creating a separate homeland.

His life is a shining example for the young generation. We should follow his principles of Unity, Faith, and Discipline and work honestly for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan. As Quaid-e-Azam said, “With faith, discipline and selfless devotion to duty, there is nothing worthwhile that you cannot achieve.” His words will continue to inspire generations of Pakistanis.

My Aim in Life Essay for 12th Class with Quotations | My Aim Is to Become a Doctor | 12th class essay

My Aim in Life Essay for 12th Class with Quotations |

My Aim Is to Become a Doctor

My Aim in Life

“A man without a purpose is like a ship without a rudder.” — Thomas Carlyle

Every person needs a definite aim in life. An aim gives direction to our efforts and inspires us to overcome difficulties. Without it, a person may waste time and energy and achieve nothing worthwhile.

People choose different professions according to their interests and abilities. Some want to become engineers, teachers, scientists, soldiers, or civil servants. My aim in life is to become a doctor. I have chosen this profession because it combines scientific knowledge with service to humanity.

Health is one of the greatest blessings of life. A sick person cannot enjoy wealth, education, or success.

Francis Bacon rightly said:

“A healthy body is the guest-chamber of the soul;
a sick, its prison.”

Doctors play a vital role in protecting this precious blessing. They diagnose diseases, relieve pain, and often save human lives. Their work requires intelligence, patience, sympathy, and a strong sense of responsibility. Although medicine is a demanding profession, it is also one of the noblest.

My desire to become a doctor grew when I saw poor people suffering because they could not afford proper medical treatment. In many villages and remote areas, hospitals and qualified doctors are scarce. Patients have to travel long distances for basic healthcare, and some lose their lives because treatment is delayed. I want to serve such people, particularly those who cannot afford expensive medical care.

Becoming a competent doctor is not easy. It requires years of study, practical training, and hard work. A medical student must have a good understanding of science and must continue learning throughout life. Medical knowledge constantly develops, so a responsible doctor can never stop studying. I am therefore concentrating on biology, chemistry, and physics and trying to develop disciplined study habits.

“Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime.”
— Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Besides academic ability, a doctor must possess good moral qualities. Patients often come to a doctor in fear and distress. They need kindness and reassurance as well as medicine. A doctor should listen carefully, protect the patient’s privacy, and treat every person with dignity. Rich and poor patients should receive equal attention. Greed, carelessness, and dishonesty have no place in this profession.

After completing my medical education, I hope to work in an area where medical facilities are limited. If possible, I would like to establish a low-cost clinic for deserving patients. I also want to educate people about cleanliness, nutrition, vaccination, and disease prevention. Preventing illness is often easier and less expensive than treating it.

I understand that merely wishing for success is not enough. Dreams become meaningful only when they are supported by effort. I must remain determined, manage my time wisely, and learn from my failures. Whenever the journey becomes difficult, I will remember Emerson’s advice:

“Hitch your wagon to a star.”

My aim is not simply to earn money or gain social status. I want to lead a useful and honourable life. If I can reduce suffering, restore health, and give hope to even a few people, I will consider my life successful. I pray that I may be given the strength, knowledge, and opportunity to achieve my ambition and serve humanity as a sincere and compassionate doctor.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My Aim in Life

“A man without a purpose is like a ship without a rudder.” — Thomas Carlyle

Every human being enters the world with certain abilities, interests, and opportunities. However, these qualities cannot produce meaningful results unless they are guided by a definite purpose. An aim gives direction to life, inspires a person to work hard, and provides the courage to face difficulties. A person without an aim often wastes valuable time and moves from one activity to another without achieving anything remarkable. Therefore, choosing a suitable aim is one of the most important decisions of life.

Life is not a bed of roses. Every worthwhile achievement demands struggle, patience, and determination. When a person has a clear goal, difficulties do not easily discourage him. Instead, every obstacle becomes a lesson and every failure becomes an opportunity for improvement.

Different people choose different aims according to their interests, abilities, circumstances, and values. Some wish to become teachers because they want to spread knowledge. Others want to become engineers, scientists, soldiers, lawyers, writers, or civil servants. All honest professions are respectable because society needs people with different skills. However, after carefully considering my interests and the needs of society, I have decided to become a doctor.

My aim is not based merely on the attraction of a white coat or the social status associated with the medical profession. I want to become a doctor because medicine offers a valuable opportunity to combine scientific knowledge with service to humanity. A doctor does not deal only with diseases; he deals with human beings who may be frightened, weak, and helpless. By treating patients with knowledge and compassion, a doctor can reduce suffering, restore hope, and sometimes save a precious life.

Health is one of the greatest blessings of God. A person may possess wealth, fame, and power, but these things lose their value when health is lost. A healthy person can study, work, help others, and enjoy the beauty of life. On the other hand, sickness can make even a wealthy individual feel helpless.

 Francis Bacon rightly observed:

“A healthy body is the guest-chamber of the soul;
a sick, its prison.”

Doctors play a central role in protecting human health. They examine patients, diagnose illnesses, prescribe treatment, perform operations, and guide people about disease prevention. Their responsibilities are not limited to hospitals and clinics. Doctors also conduct research, fight epidemics, create public awareness, and advise governments on matters of public health. During wars, floods, earthquakes, and outbreaks of disease, doctors often serve people in dangerous conditions. Their courage and dedication make the medical profession noble and highly respected.

My desire to become a doctor became stronger when I noticed the difficulties faced by poor patients. Many families cannot afford expensive medicines, laboratory tests, or private hospital charges. In rural and remote areas, the situation is often more serious. There may be no properly equipped hospital or qualified doctor nearby. As a result, patients have to travel long distances for treatment. Sometimes a minor illness becomes dangerous simply because medical assistance is unavailable or delayed.

Such conditions deeply affect me. I wish to serve people who are deprived of basic healthcare. After completing my medical education and training, I would like to work in an underserved area. I hope to establish a clinic where poor and deserving patients can receive treatment either free of cost or at an affordable fee. I also want to take part in medical camps that provide check-ups, medicines, vaccinations, and health education to people living in distant villages.

A doctor can serve society not only by treating illnesses but also by preventing them. Many diseases spread because of polluted water, poor sanitation, unhealthy food, lack of vaccination, and insufficient awareness. People sometimes ignore the early signs of disease or rely on unsafe remedies. I want to educate them about cleanliness, balanced nutrition, exercise, vaccination, and timely medical examination. If people understand how diseases can be prevented, many lives can be protected before hospital treatment becomes necessary.

However, I know that becoming a good doctor is not an easy task. It requires intelligence, discipline, patience, hard work, and many years of serious study. A medical student must understand difficult scientific subjects and learn how the human body functions. Practical training is equally important because even a small mistake can place a patient’s health at risk. Therefore, I am paying special attention to biology, chemistry, and physics. I am also trying to improve my study habits and manage my time properly.

Success cannot be achieved through wishes alone. A beautiful dream without effort remains only a dream. I must work consistently, avoid unnecessary distractions, and remain focused on my objective. There may be failures and disappointments along the way, but I should not allow them to destroy my confidence.

Longfellow reminds us:

“Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time.”

Another important quality required in a doctor is the desire to continue learning. Medical science is constantly developing. Researchers discover new medicines, treatments, technologies, and surgical techniques. A doctor who stops learning may fail to provide the best possible care to patients. Therefore, I intend to remain a student of medicine throughout my professional life. I will read medical journals, attend training programmes, learn from experienced doctors, and stay informed about new developments in healthcare.

Professional knowledge alone cannot make a person a great doctor. A doctor must also possess excellent moral qualities. Honesty, patience, kindness, sympathy, and responsibility are essential in this profession. Patients usually visit a doctor when they are anxious, weak, or in pain. They need emotional support along with medical treatment. A few comforting words from a doctor can sometimes give a patient the courage to face a serious illness.

A good doctor should listen to patients carefully and treat them with dignity. He should protect their private information and explain their condition honestly. He must not discriminate between rich and poor patients or judge people according to their religion, race, language, or social position. Every human life is valuable and deserves proper care. A doctor should always place the health and safety of the patient above personal profit.

Unfortunately, some people enter the medical profession only to earn money. Excessive fees, unnecessary tests, and careless treatment damage the reputation of this noble profession. I believe that earning an honest income is perfectly respectable, but greed should never control a doctor’s decisions. Medicine is not merely a business; it is a sacred responsibility. The trust that patients place in their doctors must never be abused.

A doctor must also be emotionally strong. Sometimes, despite receiving the best possible treatment, a patient does not recover. Such situations are painful for the patient’s family as well as for the doctor. A responsible doctor must remain calm, communicate honestly, and continue performing his duties with courage. At the same time, he should never become insensitive to human suffering. The ideal doctor combines a calm mind with a compassionate heart.

My family and teachers have an important role in helping me achieve my ambition. Their guidance, encouragement, and prayers give me strength. I also understand that I must take personal responsibility for my future. No one else can study or struggle on my behalf. I must make wise use of every opportunity and value every moment of my student life.

Emerson’s brief but powerful advice inspires me to aim high:

“Hitch your wagon to a star.”

I am aware that the path before me is long and challenging. Competition for admission to medical colleges is intense, and medical education demands great effort. Nevertheless, I am prepared to accept these challenges. A difficult road should not frighten a person when the destination is noble. Firm determination, proper planning, sincere prayer, and continuous hard work can turn an ambition into reality.

My ultimate aim is not merely to obtain a medical degree, earn a high salary, or enjoy social prestige. These things may be useful, but they cannot provide lasting satisfaction by themselves. Real happiness comes from living a meaningful life and becoming useful to others. If my knowledge can relieve someone’s pain, protect a child from disease, help a poor patient recover, or bring hope to a worried family, I will consider my efforts successful.

In conclusion, becoming a doctor is the central aim of my life. It gives direction to my studies and meaning to my future. I want to become a competent, honest, and compassionate doctor who serves humanity without discrimination. I know that the fulfilment of this dream will require years of dedication and sacrifice, but I am determined to work for it. I pray that God may grant me the knowledge, courage, and opportunity to achieve my aim and use my profession for the welfare of humanity.

10th class essay | Allama Iqbal

 Allama Iqbal

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Allama Iqbal

Allama Muhammad Iqbal was a great poet, philosopher, and political thinker. He is known as the Poet of the East. He was born on 9 November 1877 in Sialkot. His father’s name was Sheikh Noor Muhammad. Iqbal received his early education in his native city and later studied at Government College Lahore. He also went to Europe for higher education and earned a doctorate from Germany.

“Nations are born in the hearts of poets; they prosper and die in the hands of politicians.”
— Allama Iqbal

Allama Iqbal was a brilliant student. His teacher, Maulvi Mir Hassan, recognized his talent and encouraged his interest in literature. At Government College Lahore, Professor Thomas Arnold introduced him to Western philosophy. Iqbal obtained degrees in philosophy and law and became a highly respected scholar.

Iqbal wrote poetry in both Urdu and Persian. His poems awaken courage, self-respect, faith, and hope. He wanted Muslims to recognize their abilities, strengthen their character, and work for a better future. The idea of Khudi, or selfhood, occupies a central place in his poetry.

“Raise yourself to such heights that before every destiny,
God Himself asks you: Tell me, what is your desire?”

Iqbal loved young people and considered them the future of the nation. He compared energetic and courageous youth to the Shaheen, or eagle, because it flies high, lives freely, and does not fear difficulties. He encouraged students to seek knowledge and develop strong character.

“Beyond the stars, there are still more worlds;
There are still more trials of love.”

Allama Iqbal also played an important role in the political awakening of the Muslims of the subcontinent. In his Allahabad Address of 1930, he proposed the consolidation of Muslim-majority provinces in northwestern India. His ideas helped provide intellectual direction to the movement that eventually led to the creation of Pakistan. For this reason, he is commonly honoured as its spiritual or ideological guide.

His famous works include Bang-e-Dara, Bal-e-Jibril, Zarb-e-Kalim, Asrar-e-Khudi, and Javid Nama. His poem “Lab Pe Aati Hai Dua” remains especially popular among schoolchildren. He also wrote “Sare Jahan Se Achha.”

“With faith, discipline, and selfless devotion to duty, there is nothing worthwhile that you cannot achieve.”
— Muhammad Ali Jinnah

Allama Iqbal died on 21 April 1938 in Lahore. He was buried near the Badshahi Mosque. Although he died before Pakistan came into existence, his message continues to inspire people. He taught us that success comes through faith, knowledge, courage, continuous effort, and self-respect.

“Individuals hold the destiny of nations in their hands;
Every individual is a star in the nation’s future.”

In conclusion, Allama Iqbal was not merely a poet; he was a reformer, philosopher, and visionary leader. We should study his poetry, understand his message, and follow his teachings in our practical lives. His work will remain a source of guidance and inspiration for generations to come.
